December 2025 News and Updates

Winter Solstice traditions often center on adding light during the year’s longest night. The celebrations bring hope and community. But winter’s darkness is also part of the natural cycle, a time of rest and renewal. We were grateful to spend the holidays reflecting on the year and recharging with family and friends. As we prepare for the new year, we are energized and resolved anew for our mission build a more resilient food system that is healthier for both people and nature.

The spirit of this time of year is perfect for announcing the launch of our new Food as Medicine foundation website and first project call, “Food Heroes.” With this call, we aim to support hands-on project initiatives in schools that help children - aged 3 to 12 - to (re)connect with healthy food and agriculture. The call is open until 23 January, and we warmly encourage teachers, principals, school nurses or cafeteria staff to apply.

From the Farm

As many of us paused for time with family and friends, the team at Domaine de Graux worked to keep the animals safe and warm. Even as the ground now rests under a cover crop, the team is planning for spring.

Domaine de Graux achieved B Corp status in 2025. In December, Marie Delvaulx and Eve De Canniere attended B Corp Summit, an event to connect with other B Corp entities. The event focused on collaboration and serving the needs of future generations. The team also celebrated World Soil Day with a highlight on three ways the agroecological practices at the farm support healthy soils.

The year held many successes and changes at the farm. Construction on the renovation began and the Outdoor Classroom project, a collaboration with CRIE-Mouscron, added two new schools to the program. Emilien was recognized as part of the 2025 cohort of Top 50 Farmers. We launched new products and retail partners. And we saw the births of Angus cattle and rescue of our large beehive.
